A Couple Reviews
Although not the most practical item, this huge gummy bear makes a great gift for gummy bears lovers! My son was expecting regular small gummy bears and instead I gifted him this at Christmas and he was thrilled! No one at our gathering had ever seen anything like it. It’s gigantic weighing in at 5 pounds and cute as can be. The downside is trying to figure out how to tackle it to actually eat it. It’s tough to find the right knife or the heart to dismember this darling bear but we finally did and cut it into slices. Poor Mr. Gummy Bear. But my son and Grandma said it tasted great! We still have a few pounds left and will be surprised if we actually get through the whole thing but it makes for a really fun novelty gift.
I bought this for my 6 year-old boy as a prize for getting green stars (great behavior) in school, it was a great incentive for him. It took him about a month or so to finish eating it. It was well worth the cost. A few tips, wrap it in wax paper then put it in a Ziploc bag, and keep it out on the counter (if your room temp is about 69F or less) to prevent it from hardening. Our first attempt at preserving it, we put it in the fridge, and it hardened where it was difficult to slice chunks off. So we decided to keep it out on the counter and it was gummy soft, and manageable to cut. We didn’t have any mold issues, perhaps from all the sugar content this bear has. My boy loved it.
